Captain's Log Month 2 Day 17

September 17 1701

I have finally been able to get back onto the ocean today, I have only taken my main crew and shall be going to the Caribbean to pick up more supplies that we could use for the colony. I have in my command only three ships, which is a far cry of my usual twelve, when we first came to the Britannia colony, I commanded twenty-five ships, each holding roughly two hundred to two hundred and fifty people not including the sailors on board, in total six thousand two hundred people put their lives in my hands. We have a port city and surrounding farms going but I fear that my fellow Scotsmen won't treat the native population with the same respect that I have. I have left a large number of my marines in place as protection against rebellion, and left my second in command in charge. He is a good man and he will treat everything fairly. Whats most important is that he cannot be bought off. So I know at least the native population will get a fair deal.
